Two Welsh Rarebit Minis travelled 1,200 miles to the most northerly point in the UK in memory of a much missed member of the club.
They reached the most northerly point of Dunnet Head and then visited John O’Groats before travelling home.
The five-day road trip, which started last Sunday, from the White Lion Inn, Llanelian, was organised in memory of Ruth Warhurst, who lost her brave battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April 2011 aged 31. Emma Sinclair, who organised the trip, commented:
“Ruth was an amazing person, brave, warm, funny, generous and a wonderful friend, and is sorely missed by all her family and friends and fellow club members. “She had been an active club member for years along with her Minis, Monty, Ethel and more recently Mavis. Ruth would have loved to come with us, she was always so much fun.”
This was a fundraising road trip with all money going towards a leukaemia charity.
