Further to yesterday’s update re Covid-19 we have now learnt of further links to people associated with the White Lion who have tested positive albeit most of them asymptomatic.

We have therefore taken the decision in the interests of the rest of our staff and customers to close the White Lion with immediate effect for 14 days.

If there are no further instances of the disease linked to staff or families associated with the White Lion, we hope to re-open on Sunday 25th October, subject to close consultation with Public Health Wales & Test, Trace, Protect Wales.

Please refer to our website and Facebook pages for further updates.

We have tried to contact all people who have bookings but apologise if we haven’t been able to get in touch with all of you.

In the meantime, stay safe and please follow all the Government guidelines so that we can all return to our lives pre Covid

What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe

We have completed a Covid 19 Risk assessment and all the staff have been trained on how to operate safely during the coronavirus pandemic in accordance with Government Guidelines which includes the use of the appropriate PPE and social distancing.

Our kitchen and premises have been deep cleaned during the period of lockdown and we have an ongoing daily cleaning programme.

New Local Lockdown Restrictions

With effect from the 1st October these new regulations apply:-

Due to the new Local Lockdown Restrictions in the County Borough of Conwy we have been advised that only people who live within the same household will be able to meet inside the Pub.  The only exception to this rule is that people living on their own who are already part of an extended household will be allowed to meet with that household as well.

If you want to meet with Friends and Family you will be able to do so outside, so wrap up warm and come and sit under our gazebo.

People will have to socially distance in line with the Welsh government guidelines and we recommend wearing a mask when moving about the Pub.

In order to operate safely it will be a great help if everyone pre-books a table and a timeslot.

We will have to take your details under the Track & Trace rules, we have the app QR code but in Wales we also have to take your details manually.

Timeslots will be limited to 2 hours duration and a maximum of 6 people per table, provided that all members of the party are from the same family household.

We are running a one in one out toilet system.
