Congratulations to our local football team on their promotion to the Blue Square Conference League North; their second promotion in 2 years.
Before the final play off match we got a phone call from FC United of Manchester’s official supporters club asking if they could bring their coach and come for a drink before the match; they said they had testimonials from other pubs.
Of course we said and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves; they probably weren’t as happy after the match.
