We will be open all through the Xmas and New Year period with the exception of Boxing Day.

We will be serving our Festive Menu, see below, in the run up to Christmas from 3rd December, Tuesdays to Saturdays. We will also have Lite Bites available at Lunchtime, see our Specials Board for details. We are also serving Christmas Day Lunch, again see below, we have a few places available.

Fantastic pub located away from the hustle and bustle of Colwyn Bay but they get extremely busy.Super friendly service, great food and drinks. Sunday roast is a must try and save some space for an apple pie dessert!

Found this pub on Google maps while on a trip to North Wales . Called and asked if they could accommodate 5 with a dog. Told they didn't allow dogs inside. No problem outside. Arrived sat in covered outdoor area . Pub was really busy but we were served promptly and the food was exceptional. Staff were so nice even chef came out to check on us. Top place and how pubs should be run. 10/10

A great pub... catered for a large group (9) at short notice. Fantastic service with a smile, and the food was excellent. Plant-based options on the menu weren't really visible but the staff offered one vegan option as a main course, which turned out to be very good. Only suggestion for improvement is to actually offer a couple of plant-based/vegan options on the menu... it all helps to make everyone feel welcome. Cracking pub (often with music, quiz night etc), will go back again when visiting relatives in the area.

We were looking for a last minute restaurant for dinner and found this place online 10 mins from the beach. Managed to get booked in for Sunday roasts for 6 of us. Greeted by pleasant staff when we got there, service was really great and the food was superb. Enjoyed so much we came back during the week from even further away.

Uns wurde das White Lion Inn empfohlen und wir können die Empfehlung nur weitergeben. Der Service ist super, die Inhaber und das Personal sehr freundlich und das Essen ist phänomenal gut. Man schmeckt, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird und wir haben unser Mittagessen sehr genossen. Es lohnt sich daher auf jeden Fall, dieses Gaststätte zu besuchen und wir werden nochmals hingehen.

Fantatsic find. We walked in without a reservation but were sitted without any fuss. The food and service were amazing, we were talking among ourselves that is was my Dad's 70th birthday and at the end of the meal, the head chef came out with a free desert with a sparkler in and played Happy Birthday on the trumpet. What a fantastic place to eat. Visit here at all costs.

I found this pub in the internet, and we came since the rating was high. We had the roast & the beef bourguignon and both were delicious. Good selection of Ales and pleasant service make the rest. All in all, fantastic.

We are staying in the pretty village of Llanelian so popped across the road to The White Lion. Having a dog with us, we seated ourselves in the marquee, however, I believe there is a small area inside that you can eat if you have your pooch with you.After a busy day, we ordered quickly as we were all hungry. I wouldn't normally order a roast but really fancied it, as did my partner. So, two roast beef dinners and two kids meals ordered, we sat with drinks enjoying our surroundings. After a short wait, our food arrived. It's worth pointing out that it all came out together so the kids weren't waiting. So many places seem unable to do this for whatever reason. Anyway, my first impressions were great. A very generous serving of beef, covered (but not drowning) in a rich, meaty gravy, served with roast and new potatoes and a shared veg bowl of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and red cabbage. The beef was superb. It fell apart and was simply delicious with the gravy. The veg was nicely cooked and very tasty. The dog was very lucky to try some and gave me a look of appreciation. The accompanying horseradish was excellent. I think, possibly homemade. All in all it was a fabulous main and I can't remember the last time I enjoyed eating out this much. The kids both polished off all of their tea. Enough said.We couldn't resist a look at the desert menu and after spying some of our favourites, a chocolate brownie, Barra Brith bread and butter pudding and apple pie and custard were ordered. The deserts were also superb. The Barra Brith bread and butter pudding was " amazeballs".We noticed a steady stream of customers coming in and for a Tuesday night, I think it is testament to the landlord and staff that the pub was so busy. With fantastic service and superb food, we cannot wait to go back and would highly recommend this lovely country pub.
